We're open all year round, seven days a week, except 25th-26th December and 1st January. Our hours vary by the season:
Summer opening hours: 9.30am-5.30pm*
Winter opening hours: 10am-5pm*
*Last admission is 30 mins before closing.
Disabled and Special Needs Visitors:
Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World offers full disabled access. Authorised carers are admitted free of charge.
Group bookings are advised to make an advanced telephone booking to ensure the allocation of a specific time slot for your visit and allow a member of staff to conduct a private handling session if required.
Dobbies Garden World:
We're located within the grounds of Dobbies Garden World, the largest garden centre in Scotland. A play park, picnic area, toilets and parking are availble. The licenced restaurant serves a range of refreshments, snacks and homecooked meals.
